Privacy and personal data

We take your privacy very seriously. In order to provide access to online courses and services, we must collect and store certain personal information and by accessing this site you agree to the collection and processing of your personal information. 

Take note, by accessing this site and in order to provide you with the services on this site your data may be transferred to and processed in international countries that may not provide the same level of data protection.

What is collected?

• Basic profile details: full name and email address provided when you create an account.

• Usage data: information about courses, education data and activities, and resources you interact with, linked to your profile.

How is this information used?

This data is used only to provide access to courses and learning activities hosted on this site and process payments, manage subscriptions, enrolments and to communicate with you. 

How long is my data stored?

• Your personal data is stored for as long as you are enrolled in one or more courses.

• Course data is deleted six months after the end date of each course.

• Accounts inactive for 12 consecutive months are anonymised and personal data is deleted.

• Request correction or deletion of personal information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading, or obtained unlawfully.

• Withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data, subject to contractual or legal restrictions.

• Object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes.

• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your personal information has been misused.
